Using post categories instead of event categories

    Is it possible to use post categories instead of event categories for events or to somehow synchronize them?

    Hi there,
    Due to the way WordPress is designed, events cannot use the categories from posts. Unfortunately, I’ve also never heard of a plugin to synchronize categories between post types either.
