ParticipantWe have an electronic sign/display at the entrance of our building, which displays the events for the day, useful for people entering our church building (also a community center) for multiple purposes and events. We use RiseVision for our display software, which is able to use a simple Google calendar widget to display calendar events. The software can of course also display a single webpage using any URL (though only a static view of that page – no scrolling).
Here is what’s not optimal:
- In Google Calendar, you can only publish ONE calendar in a given widget. That is, only one category (e.g. “Church events” but not “community events.”) We work around this by creating a page with multiple segments, displaying events for that category. Doesn’t look great, and it’s hard to read – not a logical way to display events.
So here’s a question:
- Is it possible to create a web-page that would display the events for a single day, large enough so that it can be readable, but small enough to fit on one page (for an average of say, 10 events per day).
-
If that’s NOT an option – can I get a single Google calendar feed that would consolidate all of my event categories, so I could display those using the widget available in our Electronic display software?
Thanks in advance!

KeymasterHi JV,
Thanks for emailing support. That should definitely be possible. In the first instance, please do check out our Themer’s Guide for a high level overview of setting up template overrides:

In regards to a google feed, you could import by keyword from your Google calendar. In any case, this would require some custom development.
Thanks,

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
