GuestGreetings All!
Working with a voluntary marine veterans group looking for a plugin to publish monthly events as well as sell tickets through the WordPress website. The following are requirements the customer is looking for in the event plugin:
– Would like to have normal calendar that shows events listed
– When clicking on event it will take them to external event site or page within WordPress site
– Need following fields, name, address, phone, email, comments (if possible)
– Need a way for them to pay through site. Paypal? Stripe? If the requirements are possible, will the customer need any additional plugins? Would Events Calendar be able to handle all of the requirements? Any idea if this plugin works within the Cherry Framework?
Thank you so much for your time! Cheers!

ParticipantHey Andrew,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
You can accomplish most of what you’re looking for with any of our Ticketing plugins. The most popular of which is WooCommerce Tickets. A couple of notes:
- By default, the events will link to their associated single event view from the main calendar. You can modify this behavior with some minimal customization.
- WooCommerce comes with the ability to receive payments via PayPal. You’ll need to purchase plugins to accomplish other payment gateway integrations such as Stripe.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!

GuestJosh –
Thank you for the response. To confirm, I will need to purchase both the Events Calendar Pro and the WooCommerce Tickets plugins in order to accomplish the requirements provided? Do you offer the other payment gateways should we want to go down that route?
Thanks for the assistance!!

ParticipantHey Andrew,
No problem!
You won’t need the Pro plugin to get the ticketing features that you describe. Additionally, all the gateways are controlled by WooCommerce and any other extensions that you would like to add specifically for WooCommerce. Our ticketing plugins will utilize all payment processing and gateways managed by WooCommerce.
One additional note from your first message that I want to clarify on since I missed it in the original response:
Need following fields, name, address, phone, email, comments (if possible)
These fields are available for each event, however this specific information (beyond what is specific to the event) can’t be added to the ticket without additional customization.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
