Use Event Calendar Pro for Custom Post Type

We have an existing site with custom post types that have a lot of metadata already in them and are really looking for the Event Calendar interface to show the small widget calendar and perhaps use some filtering and other event user interface options. However; we are not really interested in changing our theme or the current development. Is there a way to have the Event Calendar Pro plug-in use the already existing custom post type to display the data?

Thanks for the interest in our plugins. I can answer your questions.

Unfortunately, it is only designed to work with our Custom Post Types and there is no feature to change that.

It is possible you might change it, but most likely none of the meta fields will line up with ours so that would have to be customized as well.

And for the most part that is beyond the support we can provide to help on that.

I suppose I could export our existing custom post types into the event structure and then use it, but I would then have to completely modify our theme to match. All I really need is the small calendar that shows if there are events on a specific date using our custom post type.

That might be overkill then to use our plugins. Maybe you could find a way to Modify WordPress’s calendar widget to do what you are trying?
