URGENT – White Text on White!

On the event pages, the date of the event is white (text colour) – the background is white so it is not showing unless highlighted. The same is the case for the word TICKETS above the form to select tickets to be purchased. How do I change this colour ?

Hi Russell

A few tips to help you get started are:

1. Start by modifying what you can at Appearance » Customize » The Events Calendar.
2. Typically, don’t change the theme or plugin’s css files, they will be overwritten on updates. To avoid this, follow the steps outlined in Themer’s Guide
3. Use overriding CSS files, or add CSS to your site using Appearance » Customize » Additional CSS.
4. Use !important before a semicolon to override every css rule. It’s a brute force method, but works for quick fixes.
5. Please check out this Customizing WordPress #2 – Using Chrome Developers Tools YouTube video in addition to our Using Chrome Developer Tools tutorial on how to easily make changes using CSS.

Hi

I can’t see why this is currently an issue – I have a white background which is pretty normal. The date of the event when using the theme default, and the work tickets above the order form is white. There must be a simple way to change this without the need to code ?

….. in fact I now notice that all headings are in White. Field labels also…..

The issues often are based upon how your theme designer has written the code for the site.

Start by modifying what you can at Appearance » Customize » The Events Calendar and let me know how that goes.
