ParticipantHi,
I’m currently are hiding the Image module on our Community Events form, but am considering adding it so users can submit images with their events. I see that by default the image module notes “Images that are not png, jpg, or gif will not be uploaded. Images may not exceed 50 MB in size.”
Does the Community Events plugin have built-in rules that:
1. Only allow the file type to be png, jpg or gif?
2. Only allow the image file size to be up to 50 MB?If so, in what file are these rules located? I’d like to change the max image file size to be much smaller.

ParticipantHey @Karly,
Thanks for reaching out! To address your questions, no, at this time Community Events does not impose any such limits like this on its own. If there are such limits on your site they are coming from another source like your server or another aspect of your WordPress installation.
I hope this information helps!
Thanks,

ParticipantGood morning George,
Thanks for confirming. Are there any plugins that you recommend for setting rules/limits on the images that can be uploaded via the Community Events form? Or would it be best to have a custom function or other code added to our site?
Thank you,

ParticipantHey Karly,
Good questions. I don’t know of a specific plugin that will apply the sorts of limits you describe, but I did find some scripts after some quick searching like one recommended here: http://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/67107/impose-a-maximum-limit-on-image-upload-size.
I would recommend playing around with these sorts of scripts; that seems to be the best option at this time.
I’m sorry there’s not much better support for this within our plugins themselves! I hope this information is helpful nonetheless and wish you the best of luck with your project.
Sincerely,
GeorgeFebruary 9, 2016 at 12:09 pm #1070439Sean
