ParticipantUpgrading to Pro
Hi!
I\’ve upgraded from Events Calendar to Events Calendar Pro, but there is no option for me to place the license key for this upgrade. There is only a space for the Events Aggregator.Could you please help me with rectifying this so I can apply the add-on?
Thanks!

MemberHey Christine,
Thank you for reaching out to us!
As I can see from your system info you still don’t have Events Calendar PRO (ECP) installed and/or activated in your site.
Can you please access your account, download ECP and upload it to your site?
After installing and activating the plugin, please head over to Events > Settings > Licenses and you should be able to see The Events Calendar PRO license field.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you need anything else in the mean time.
Regards,
Patricia

ParticipantHi Patricia! Follow up question… if we already have been using Event Calendar basic for a while (and we have a lot of events already in our calendar)… will doing the above steps, to upgrade to Pro and activate the license… Will doing that, erase all our existing events? Or will our events remain on the upgraded calendar, once license is activated?
thank you,
Michelle Pizzo

MemberHi Michelle,
Welcome to our forum!
Answering your question: no, enabling Events Calendar PRO won’t erase/delete all events you have already created using the free version of The Events Calendar.
Please note that you have to keep both plugins installed and activated: the free version and the PRO version to everything work as expected.
As usual, I would recommend you to backup your site files + database before updating/changing anything in your site.
Cheers,
Patricia

ParticipantHi Patricia,
Thanks for your prompt! So I need to install “Event Calendar Pro” Plugin on our website dashboard? I can’t find that in the available Plugins… I have the .zip folder with .php and also the license key… but how do I add it to our WP site?
September 12, 2017 at 5:52 am #1347944Patricia
MemberHi Michelle,
Since Events Calendar PRO is a premium plugin, you have to download it from your account.
After downloading the plugin zip file, access your dashboard and head over to Plugins > Add new > Upload Plugin.
I hope this helps! If you need further assistance, please open a new topic so we can discuss your specific questions from there: at this moment Christine is receiving email notifications regarding this thread and apparently her problem was already solved.
Thanks!
Patricia

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
