Updating the "timezone data"

    By mistake, I updated the timezone data without FIRST changing the wordpress site timezone to the one I’m holding the events in. Now the “Ical / month’s export buttons” are setting the events at the WRONG timezone when importing them to my calendar 🙁

    Is there a way to re-update the timezone data?

    I was recommended the following solution but it didn’t work, it’s still stuck at UTC 0 whatever I do…

    “you can reset the timezone by changing your timezone option back to a per-event basis and changing your WordPress timezone settings. Then, publish a few events or so, then move the settings back to what they should be.”

    Please help!

    We are sorry about the slight delay in answering, today has been pretty busy following the release of a new version.
    I would love to help you with this topic.

    Hmmm, this is tricky and might require a few trials to get just right.

    As a last attempt at your previous suggestion, you could:

    • Go to the Settings page of your website and replace the UTC 0 value by one of a city that is at UTC 0 (Greenwich for example) from the dropdown list
    • Go to Events -> Settings -> General and change the setting to use local time for events

    But more likely, after a backup, you might have to delete all the events you imported in order to reimport them with the correct timezone one.

    I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have.
