I just updated the plugin and now my site is down and saying “Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context in /home/content/22/8565422/html/wp-content/plugins/events-calendar-pro/src/functions/template-tags/venue.php on line 97”
Please help!!!
The same happened on my site. I fixed it by FTP into my site and deleting the events calendar pro folder (as listed in your error) and then uploading the old version to my site (downloaded 4.3)
Just don’t upload the plugin until they get it fixed.
Did you remove the whole plugin folder? There was a hotfix that someone posted in another thread that will fix the 4.3.1 plugin.
We had a problem with older versions of PHP. Events Calendar PRO 4.3.1.1 should resolve this issue. You can read more about that here: https://theeventscalendar.com/hotfix-release-events-calendar-pro-4-3-1-1/
You will need to do a manual update of Events Calendar PRO to 4.3.1.1
- If you are able to access your site files via FTP, head to the /wp-content/plugins directory and delete the /events-calendar-pro folder there. This will not delete event content.
- Once that is deleted, download a fresh copy of Events Calendar PRO 4.3.1.1 from your account ? https://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads/
- Install this new fresh copy of Events Calendar PRO 4.3.1.1 on your site.
