Update on tag queries?

I’m dealing with the same issue that was mentioned in a previous discussion about tribe_events being injected into the loop when querying a post type by tag. Here was that discussion: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/global-query_vars-bug-when-using-post_tags/

It was noted that an internal bug ticket was being created. Just curious if this issue is close to being resolved? The support droid closed the discussion before any update was posted.

Hi @adventuresneo,

Thanks for reaching out to us on this! I could found the ticket Josh logged based on the report on th thread you mention, but I see it still has no date (or release version) set. I’ve added your thread in the ticket and bumped the issue priority. Unfortunately this won’t be included in the upcoming releases 4.1.4 (coming out hopefully today) nor 4.2 (major/feature releases don’t include bug fixes), but I guess it will be addressed in 4.2.1 although I cannot confirm this yet.

Thanks Nico! I appreciate the hard work you guys (and gals) put in to having a quality plugin!

Really hoping for this to work soon, as we’re trying to incorporate it into a new site design we’re launching soon, but in the meantime, I’ll work on another method to try an achieve the results we’re looking for.
