Is there any way to reassign the class or ID to the upcoming events widget so it can be styled differently than the other widgets placed inside of a home widget in Genesis? For example, I would like a background and border to really make that widget show up from the other widgets included in home-middle. I have been looking through the various event calendar style sheets but am not seeing it. I have set up override templates but I can’t seem to figure out what to override for the entire widget.

I have tried adding a background color to .tribe-events-adv-list-widget in the override style sheet in pro/widgets/widget-calendar.css but no changes appear. Any suggestions are appreciated

    Hi!

The Themer’s Guide is a great starting point for this sort of work. As in your other thread I’d recommend looking through the following resources (but the Themer’s Guide in particular):

To take a real world example though, if you look at the list widget on our demo site you can that at this time it has an ID of #tribe-events-adv-list-widget-2 and some pretty specific classes are also available: .widget.tribe-events-adv-list-widget … though the ID may change depending on if you remove and reposition it (or add another instance of the same widget into a different position on the same sidebar etc) you could probably build a suitably specific rule based on the CSS classes alone.

    Does that help?

It’s been a while so I’m guessing you’re all good and will close this thread. Of course if you need further help with this or any other issues please don’t hesitate to create new threads as needed. Thanks again!
