    Hello,

I’m trying to update the Events Calendar Pro plugin via automatic update in my WordPress but was unsuccessful due to permission errors. I’d like to update the plugin manually using FTP. Are there any specific steps that need to be follow other than just deleting the folder inside the Plugins directory and then copying the new version?

    Hey Tony,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

That’s all you need to do! Just delete the existing folder and replace with the latest version.

Out of curiosity, where are you currently hosting your site (I question because there are some hosts that have a feature that allows you to reset file permissions when plugin update issues like this occur)?

    Thanks!

I’m hosting it on my own CentOS server at work.

    Hey Tony,

Ah! Wouldn’t have the same dashboard file permission reset I was thinking about then 🙂

    Thanks!
