Unable to switch between RSVP and EDD on Events that are already created

My client recently purchased Event Tickets Plus and I am helping them get the plugin configured and working. They have some events created and when I try to edit the ticket’s “Sell using:” field to use Easy Digital Downloads and save the ticket, it still shows as RSVP. I have tried disabling all plugins except for Events Calendar and Easy Digital Downloads related plugins, as well as switching to the TwentyFifteen theme. I have also set up a test event, was able to switch “Sell using:” to Easy Digital Downloads and save it, but not change it back to RSVP. I am able to save other changes like date, price etc.

I am hoping you can assist us in getting the plugin functioning. I have the site set up on a development server at this time and can provide you with login info privately if that helps.

Thanks for trying out our Event Tickets Plus plugin and welcome to the forums!

Unfortunately, once a ticket type is created, it cannot be changed to a different one, I’m sorry. This is not a bug or the malfunctioning of the plugin.

I don’t want to go into the details but due to all the different platforms and implementations (RSVP, EDD, WooCommerce, WP eCommerce, Shopp) changing a ticket type would be a very complicated maneuver in the background using up lot of resources. This is why it is not currently possible.

The only workaround is to create a new ticket and remove the old one.
