ParticipantWe are running Events Calendar Pro and are unable to see the options for recurring events. We can set up single events just fine. I do not see the options that are displayed at https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-recurring-events/
Here’s what happens: When clicking on “Event Series: Schedule Multiple Events”, a dropdown appears with “daily “weekly” “monthly” “yearly” and “once” options. After clicking on any of these options, a dropdown appears with “Series ends” and a dropdown with options: on, after, or never. No matter which value is selected in the dropdown, nothing else appears. I don’t see a date picker box or any other recurrence options. I have attached a screenshot showing what we see.
We are on WP 4.41 (multisite) running The Events Calendar PRO 4.4.3 along with Events Calendar 4.4.3 with Eventbrite tickets V 4.4 add-on and Event Tickets V 4.4.3.

We are sorry to hear about the recurring events module not displaying properly.
I would love to help you with this topic.The first thing I would strongly recommend is updating your PHP version to at least 5.4.x
Older PHP versions can cause loads of trouble. In fact, WordPress recommends 5.6+ for a smooth operation.As with every major update, it is highly recommended that you have a full backup and a way to get back to your current install if anything happens.
You could talk to your webhost about this.
Secondly, you might want to do the same for your WordPress version. 4.4.1 is over a year old and important changes have been made in how the WordPress code works since then.
For this purpose, a backup of your database and of the plugins folder is in order.
Ideally you should test that upgrade in a test/staging environment in case it has any impacts on your current plugins or theme.Let me know how that goes.

ParticipantUpdate: I have reverted the development site to Version 4.3.1.1 of both The Events Calendar PRO and The Events Calendar and recurring events are now working as expected. The dev site is running the same instance of php and WP as the production site.
Is there any update to TEC that occurred between version 4.3.1.1 and 4.4.3 which may have caused recurring event option fields to have stopped working?
At this point reverting to the previous version of TEC appears to be a more efficient solution for this site than contacting the web host to update the PHP version.

ParticipantUpdate: solved.
I tested with a clean local install of WordPress 4.4.1 and TEC Pro 4.4.3. This combination caused the identical problem as we are currently having on the production site.
After updating this clean local install of WordPress from 4.4.1 to 4.7.3 TEC automatically started working for recurring events.
We have yet to perform this update on our production site but every indication is that a WP update will fix it; it does not appear to be a PHP version issue. If we discover otherwise we will let you know.
