Unable to Edit or Delete Categories

    I have searched everywhere and cannot determine how you edit or delete a category. I have a typo in a new category that I just created. But I cannot figure out how to edit it. I am the Admin of the site so it should not be a rights issue. I have checked Settings, and Add an Event. In Add Event I have the list of Categories but I can only add a new one. I searched the Forums, and looked in the documentation. Can someone please tell me how Categories are edited in Event Calendar Pro.

    Hey Mike,

    So sorry for the trouble!

    It is indeed possible to add, edit and delete event categories under Events > Event Categories.

    The trouble is, there is an existing issues that prevents the editing of events at the moment. We just logged this issue today, in fact, and I will add your thread to the ticket. I’ll mark this thread as Pending Fix in the meantime and will follow-up with you when I know more.

    Good news everyone!

    We’ve just release a maintenance release that addresses this issue. Please look for updates to your Events plugin(s) on your site. Thank you for your patience while we worked to address the reported issues. And don’t forget to review the release notes for all the details on version 4.0.3.

    While our testing shows that the new release fixes the problem reported here, sites are different and it’s possible that there are edge cases. If you are still seeing the issue after you update your plugins, please post a new thread so we can look into it further.
