Hi,
We recently received this report from one of our users that there’s an error parsing the iCal files. Is this a known issue or something that’s related to our installation of ECP? If the latter, any suggestions for how it can be fixed? Thank you.
I’ve been finding that I am not able to directly import the exported ical file into Google Calendar.
It appears there may need to be additional validation to ensure that the ical files are in the proper format.
For example, I am trying to import the following URL into Google directly:
http://www.coolrunning.com/eventcal/events/?action=tribe_list&tribe_paged=1&tribe_event_display=list&tribe-bar-geoloc-lat=42.4719938&tribe-bar-geoloc-lng=-70.93981919999999&tribe-bar-geoloc=01902&tribe_eventcategory%5B%5D=162&tribe_geofence=25&ical=1&tribe_display=listGoogle returns an error message starting with the following:
“Failed to add imported calendar at” ….I verified that the ical format is invalid by running it through a 3rd party validator tool:
http://severinghaus.org/projects/icv/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.coolrunning.com%2Feventcal%2Fevents%2F%3Faction%3Dtribe_list%26tribe_paged%3D1%26tribe_event_display%3Dlist%26tribe-bar-geoloc-lat%3D42.4719938%26tribe-bar-geoloc-lng%3D-70.93981919999999%26tribe-bar-geoloc%3D01902%26tribe_eventcategory%255B%255D%3D162%26tribe_geofence%3D25%26ical%3D1%26tribe_display%3DlistThe validator tool indicates that the ical file cannot be parsed.
In order for me to import the ical files to Google Calendar, I’ve had to manually modify the files so that they work.

Thanks for reaching out to us!
There are some existing errors with the iCal functionality that will be addressed in our next release. I apologize for the inconvenience this may have cause, however we are coming to the end of this release cycle and the update should be coming shortly.
Thanks!
