TubePress issue with facebook events

if TubePress plugin in enables and you try and go to import:facebook, you get an error. and it takes FOREVER to load that page (import:facebook) in general

Sorry for the issues you are having.

I can try to help troubleshoot this with you, but for the most part 3rd party plugin compatibility is beyond the support we can provide.

However, I loaded up my test site with tubepress and was able to visit the Import Facebook Page and import an event without issue.

What error are you seeing on your site?

Do you have a lot of pages you are downloading events from?

Is it always slow? Or just on the first load and if you revist it is fine?

HEY!

Yep i know you wouldn’t be able to help with third party, just wanted to notify you that that plugin must be disabled in order for the facebook import to work.

IT is ALWAYS SLOW, I do have a lot of pages I follow so that may be causing it. Don’t know if you had any way to speed it up, just wanted to notify you.

Ok thanks for the information about TubePress. I wonder why it did not give the error for me and just you.

I think the reasons it is slow is that each event from a Facebook page is checked with the Facebook API so all those are slowing the page loading as it waits for a response from Facebook for each one.
