    Hi,

I have added some content before and after my calendar through the “HTML before event content” and “HTML after event content” fields in the display tab of the Settings page. Now a customer wants to be able to edit that content. Is it possible to give a user permission to access the Settings page? I’m using the Capability Manager Enhanced plug-in but I can’t give that permission there.

    Thanks in advance,
    Scott

    Hi Scott,

I wanted to drop in here and thank you for your patience. We are experiencing a higher-than-usual support load and may not be able to answer threads as fast as possible. We are working hard to address threads as soon as we are able.

I suspect there’s a way to give a user settings permission, but I’m not positive- and it could depend on the user roles plugin you mentioned. I’m going to have a member of our support team chime in here tomorrow and give you a more in-depth answer. Thanks again for your patience!

    Best,

    Leah

    Howdy Scott,

Thanks for you patience. I would love to help you with this.

In order to manage those options a user role will need the WP capability “manage_options”. From there they can edit the Events Settings page, as well as other settings on your site. You might want to create a test account with the manage_options permission and make sure you want to grant the person that much access to your site, in many ways it makes them an admin (out of necessity).

Does that all make sense? Will that work for you? Please let me know.

    Cheers!
