    hiya–

using genesis and dynamik, i set up this site over a year ago. recently i upgraded dynamik and lost my sidebars on both the calendar page, and the login for my community events. i was able to restore my dynamik folder to a backup which brought back the sidebar on my main calendar page, but i’ve lost the sidebar and all formatting on that login page.

for the life of me i cannot remember where that login page lives or how i formatted it in the first place. and what’s really driving me nuts is that on my test site the formatting is coming up just fine, whereas the live site is all funky. would you be able to point me in the right direction to restore my original formatting?

    thanks for any advice,
    emily

    Howdy Emily,

Thanks for taking the time to reach out. I would definitely like to help as best I can. But I must admit I am puzzled too. Your live site and test site both have a sidebar and appear compleetely identical. Did you figure this out perchance?

Most people would modify the sidebar by creating a theme override. Our Themer’s Guide  walks you through how to create those. Is that the solution you did before?

    Cheers!

    hay brook–

i think it was a cache thing… after thouroughly banging my head against the wall, i looked at the site on my phone and the page looked fine. then checked the other browsers, all ok. dumped the cache and voila, all was well in the world.

    thanks for taking a look,
    emily

Caches are responsible for more than a few wall dents in my house too. Completely understand that.

    Thanks for getting back!
