Troubles with Versions

    I’ve installed The Events Calendar Version 4.3.5. Then I bought Event Tickets Plus Version 4.3.5. After Installing this Plugin I received the message “To begin using Event Tickets Plus, please install and activate the latest version of Event Tickets”. After I have done this I recieved the message “When The Events Calendar and Event Tickets are both activated, The Events Calendar must be running version 4.4 or greater. Please update now.” Clicking on the update now I receive the message that the plugin is on the newest version. So I went on the homepage and downloaded The Events Calendar Version 4.4 and started the Plugin Installation manually. The Installation aborted because the target folder already exists.
    How can I update the Events Calendar to Version 4.4 withou deleting the Version 4.3.5 and the Event Data.

    Hey @Pascal,

    So sorry for the trouble here! This is totally our fault. We hit the release button on Version 4.4 prematurely and had to immediately roll it back. As a result, some folks, including yourself, saw that update message and attempted to update.

    There’s no need to update to 4.4 just yet and you can be sure that there will be another admin notice in WordPress when it is officially available. You may continue to see that message for a little while longer because of web caching, but know that 4.4 is not yet released.

    Sorry about for the confusion! That was a bad move on our part and I apologize for how it mixed things up for you. Stay tuned to WordPress.org and our blog for 4.4 to officially be released:

    My pleasure! I’m so sorry you were affected by this in the first place, but I am happy to say that we are ion the process of releasing 4.4 as I type. In fact, you can already find it by logging into your account on this site and visiting the My Account > Downloads screen.
