The update looks awesome! Holy cow do I ever love Events Calendar Pro!!! The little details are all just so good and make my life so much easier.

    Three tiny things, FYI:

    1) My default view for search results is “list.” I like this because it shows you what’s happening right now, as opposed to what’s already happened (like it does in “day” view). Since the update, I’ve noticed that if I narrow my search in the filter bar, then switch from “list” to “month” or “day” or “map” view, it forgets that my search is narrowed and just shows me everything. Before the update, it would remember my narrowed results as I switched views. I prefer the old way, it was useful to me.

    2) When I switch from “list” to “day” view, the “date” box selects today’s date (as it should). But if I switch from “day” to “map” or back to “list”, it keeps displaying that date. I don’t want it to do that – I love how “list” starts at the current time. It makes sense for that to happen if the user actually selected that date in the “date” box, but if they’re just toggling back and forth between views it’s a bit confusing. If you go from “list” to “day” and then back to “list” I think the “list” should appear as it did before. Hope that makes sense…

    3) Finally, this is just a wish of mine: “Map” view would be SO much more useful if it included the date and time of events in the little pop-ups that appear when you click the pins (it currently just shows the event name and address). If that could happen, I would make “map” my default view and it would make my site so much better. Hope you’ll consider making that an option.

    Thanks again!

Hey there, and holy smokes thanks for the kind words! I’m SUPER stoked you’re loving 4.0 so far. We put a ton of effort into and so hearing such a glowing review is music to my ears as well as the rest of the team. 🙂

    1) My default view for search results is “list.”

Whoa, good eye! You are absolutely correct and the filters should be respected when switching. I’ve ticketed this in our system and will update this thread when I know more.

    2) When I switch from “list” to “day” view, the “date” box selects today’s date (as it should).

That a good idea. I’ll log this as a feature request in our system, but can’t guarantee we will be able to work it into a specific release.

    3) Finally, this is just a wish of mine: “Map” view would be SO much more useful if it included the date and time of events in the little pop-ups

That’s a cool idea as well. Would you be willing to share that in our feature request forum? That can help us get it out in the open and see how many others would find it useful as well.

Thanks a gain for all the kind words and definitely for the feedback as well! I’m stoked to see you’re getting solid traction out of the plugins and are down to let us know how they can be even better. 🙂

    Cheers!
    Geoff

    Hello,

Thank you for reporting this issue. We weren’t able to get a fix for it into our upcoming release (4.1). However, please know that the problem is still on our radar and is ticketed within our system to be addressed in a future maintenance release. We’ll do our best to keep you posted when we are able to get a solution in place. Thank you for your patience while we improve and expand our plugins.

    Best,
    Leah
