GuestHi,
I’ve had an extensive look at Event Calendar Pro and Tickets, and all in all I really like what I see.
Though, I need to get clear answers before I choose a specific platform, and I hope you can answer my questions.
Basically, what I sell is 6-day trip packages. A customer will book a 6-day trip to a location; each trip has a maximum of 12 participants; each trip starts on the same day of the week (for example sakes: Monday) and ends on the same day (Saturday); there are no options. FYI, I’ve tried the creation of such “products” with the free version of the extension and it was perfect (with the limitations inherent to the free version).
Now, each trip is repeated one or more weeks in a row (for instance week 12 to week 20), then not sold for a period of time, then sold again for another period of time (week 30 to 40). It is essential that these different periods do not require the creation of different products: the same package, sold in April or October, must be the same “product”.
So, my first question is: is this possible? I’m not sure I understood clearly the way the Pro extension deals with disjointed periods. Then, those packs need to be sold, and here enter Tickets. I understand it doesn’t work with recurring events (which obviously our packages are), but is it reasonable to wait for this, as, is it to be expected in a foreseeable future? I know the usual stance of “we don’t disclose, etc.”, but please, if at least you could answer by private email, I would be very thankful. Launching the website is becoming vital, but with specific news I might be able to pull something off should this new feature be coming soon.
Also, would it allow for variations in prices (for seasonality)?Sorry for the very long message, I’m sure you’ll understand the need.
Thank you very much in advance for your answers.

MemberHi,
Thanks for the interest in our plugins.
I looked through what you are looking for and I believe it is beyond the current features of our Ticking plugins and Pro to do.
I do not have a timeline for the Ticket Add Ons to support Recurring Events, but I would not expect it in the next couple of months.
Sorry for not being able to provide more information, but that is where we stand right now.
Thanks

MemberSounds good.
Closing out this ticket as there is nothing more we can do here.
If you have any other issues related to this or something new, please create a new one.
Thanks
