TribeDateUtils.php is deprecated since version 3.10!

Hi-

We recently updated our Events Calendar plugin to 3.11.2 and installed the latest version of Events Calendar Pro (v 3.11.1) and now we are seeing this error message at the top of all of our individual event pages, “Notice: /home/hudsngld/public_html/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/deprecated/TribeDateUtils.php is deprecated since version 3.10! Use Tribe__Events__Date_Utils instead. in /home/hudsngld/public_html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 3448”

I am sure I’m missing something simple, but any help or guidance on how to fix would be appreciated.

Hey Nami!

Have you also update the version of Filter Bar on your site? If not, try updating that so that all three of your Tribe plugins are up-to-date, and see if it helps.

If Filter Bar is not even active on this site, then we do a bit more digging here. But “deprecated notices” like this are usually caused by version number discrepancies like is suspected here.

And one thing to note about this type of notice itself is that it’s fortunately not quite an error, outright – in other words, nothing is “broken” or going wrong. It’s just a “notice” that a better, newer function exists than the one being called.

Hey Nami,

Nice, I’m glad the notice is gone! As for how/why it originally arose…hm…it is indeed possible that if one thing was updated before another, an outdated file was being referenced and now the correct file is being referenced.

Either way – best of luck with your site going forward. Open a new thread on these forums any time you have any other problems or concerns.
