ParticipantSometime this week, my Events Calendar Pro shortcode [tribe_events_list] stopped returning a list of calendar items and started displaying the actual shortcode characters instead (i.e., [tribe_events_list …].) The shortcode had been functioning flawlessly since late January and no wild changes were made to the site prior to the problem appearing (I was first made aware of it 3/16)
The event calendar itself still functions and appears where it should and the sidebar widget still works (though has lost some formatting)
I am running Events Calendar PRO (4.1) and have Events Calendar (Free) still installed and still activated. I updated the EC Free to 4.1.0.1 (after shortcode problem appeared) to see if it would resolve anything. No luck
The [ecs-list-events] shortcode from the Events Calendar [Free] Shortcode plugin (1.0.11) does still work (though not ideally) and I will deploy it as a (less elegant) temporary workaround while I hunt for a solution.

MemberHi Jennifer and welcome to the forums!
So sorry for the trouble here with shortcodes.
Can you elaborate a little more on what isn’t working with [tribe_events_list]? I just tried it on my test site and it seems to be working as expected. Perhaps you can share a link with me so I can see the issue?
I do notice, however, that Events Calendar PRO is not showing up in the list of installed plugins from the system information you shared. Will you please head to the Plugins screen and made sure the plugin is installed, activated and using the latest version, which is currently 4.1?
The shortcode plugin is unfortunately a plugin created by someone else and something we don’t support here in the forums, though it is helpful to know that it continues to work with the latest update.
Let’s see what happens when you check the list of activated plugins and we can go from there. 🙂
Thanks!

ParticipantTurned out to be a user problem (surprise, surprise) and not a software problem. The EC PRO plugin was deactivated. Not sure how (nobody with access has confessed). Reactivated it and all is well.
Thanks for the follow-up. Your product has been a great addition to make our weird, old, too-many-cooks site I’ve inherited.

MemberNice work, Jen! I’m really, really stoked to hear that things are both working smoothly again and that you’ve been loving the plugins so much. That does mean a lot to me and the rest of the team here at Modern Tribe, so thanks a ton for following up and for the kind words. 🙂
Cheers,
