tribe_events_cat returns null value

Hi there,
Doing some work in the header images to sync with event event category, but all variables, including tribe_events_cat return a null value.

Please advise.

Thanks for using our plugins. I can help out here although we are limited in support customizations per our terms and conditions.

Not exactly sure what are trying, but have you tried the is_tax() conditional?
