ParticipantHello there,
This is our website. http://oneportal.ime.es/ and this is our main events page. http://oneportal.ime.es/events/
We are using a translated .PO file for Spanish language. Some of the words from the search box are not showing translated whereas we already have them translated. We have also added new/missing words from .POT file and translated them. Yet, they are not reflecting for the search box. You can see those words are still in English in the spanish version of the site even after being translated. Check screenshot. http://prntscr.com/eg99d1
Let’s take the word “Keyword” for example. We have it translated in the .PO File and yet they don’t show their translated version. Check Screenshot. http://prntscr.com/eg99wo
Other translation except a few words are working. File name and location is same as the original/latest .PO file. Check screenshot. http://prntscr.com/eg9ahw
So, it doesn’t seem to be the issue. What is the issue? Please let us know how can we fix it. Is it a bug?
Best regards,

MemberGood evening Himanshu and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the translation issues you have been facing.
I would love to help you with this topic.I just went ahead and visited your website and it looks like everything is now translated in Spanish. Could you confirm ?
In any case, based on your description of the situation, this might have been caused by one of the following:
- Your translation files are not up to date (which it looks like you tested – but I am unsure if you also tested that for the Events Calendar Pro strings, not only the free the Events Calendar language strings).
- You are using some customized translation files that have been placed in the /wp-content/languages/ or /wp-content/languages/plugins/ folder. These will override any other translation. Either update or remove these (depending on your situation).
- Your theme is using its own text domain for some of the strings related to the calendar
If your theme is using its own text domain for template customizations, I would strongly suggest reverting back to the Events Calendar text domain in your child theme.
Best regards,
Geoff B.

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
