translate, categories & images in events list

I need to translate some fields to Hebrew- in the event page (Events, Start, End…. & more), through which file can I do it?

In the Event List- how can I add thumbnail (small) image? Beside the content, It’s really important to my client.

How can I add events categories (to filter the events by city, let’s say…)

Hi Hila. Thanks for the note. On these questions:

Translating: You’d need to create a Hebrew translation file for the plugin to do this. If you get POEdit or a similar software, just generate a new file from the .pot (in the “lang” folder) and translate the terms as you see fit. Once you’ve added the resulting .po/.mo files into the “lang” folder and changed your site’s language in the wp-config file, you should be all set.

Thumbnail: Have you checked whether assigning a featured image and/or embedding an image within the post itself does the trick here? Depending on your theme, one of the options there could do the trick without requiring much modification.

Categories: You would add categories into your events as you configure them on the backend; those will appear alongside the event details upon publication.

Hi,

translating- i upload 2 files:
tribe-events-calendar-pro-he_IL.mo + tribe-events-calendar-pro-he_IL.po
but its not working!! (& my site language sets to hebrew).

Thumbnails: i have a featured image & i tryed to place image in the code but at the “Events List” i can’t see it…

i’ll apriciate your respons ASAP, thanks!

Hi Hila. Glad to see you got the translation aspect ironed out. On the featured image item: does this thread (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/how-to-get-article-image-to-appear-in-events-listing/) point you in the right direction? Seems to be the same issue, unless I’m misunderstanding. Let me know.
