ParticipantI am in the process of transferring my two local news websites — both of which utilize community events and events aggregator — to a different, multi-site under a brand new URL.
Am I able to transfer my license keys to the new domain and subdomains? This is highly important. Thanks! Mike

MemberHey Michael,
Welcome back to the forums!
You bet. Moving licenses is totally possible and can be done directly here on our site.
Here are the step-by-step instructions for moving a license key from one site to another:

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂
Cheers!

ParticipantThis looks great. As soon as the new sites are live I will follow these steps. Is it OK to keep this forum in “I still need assistance” mode until I’m able to make the transfer successfully?

MemberSure Michael! Our system does automatically close threads after 3 weeks of inactivity, but I am happy to leave this thread open in the meantime.

ParticipantOK, so i followed the directions but I’m still getting a couple error messages that appear to be related to the fact that I have a WordPress multi-site.
This error is in the Events Settings page:
Thank you! You have enabled a valid license. It looks like you are using this license within a multisite network. If you have 11 or more subsites, want network-level management, and/or require automatic updates, you need to upgrade to a multisite license. Read more about license options.
When read that, everything seems ok because I’m only using the Calendar on two subdomains.
HOWEVER, at the top of every page within my WordPress Dashboard, I get this message:
It looks like you’re using The Events Calendar: Community Events, but the license key you supplied does not appear to be valid or is missing. Please review and fix so that you can always have access to our latest versions! You can find your license keys by logging in to your account on theeventscalendar.com and you can enter them over on the settings page.
SO, this seems like mixed messages to me.
I’m not sure what I’m supposed to do. Thanks for your care and attention. – Mike

MemberHey Mike,
Yeah, our Business level license is technically not designed to recognize a multisite network. As a result, the messaging can indeed be misleading and there is definitely room for improvement on our end to clean that up.
That said, the plugins are indeed registered to your sites and you should continue to receive automatic updates and access to support, despite what the messages say.
Sorry for the confusion there, but I hope this helps explain things a bit!

GuestOK, so I’ll just update the plugins in May when it says I have to. Good stuff. Thanks! Mike
