transfer events images from one site to another

hello, i’m building a new site locally (site2), and i have the old one still online (site1). the site1 is currently used and events are uploaded every day. i need to export events and import them when the site2 will be online. i did this with the wordpress export and import function. it works fine for everything except for the images. is there a way to do it, maybe with the pro version of the plugin? i have a lot of events and i cannon even think doing that manually, reuploading every single image.

Hi there,

Thanks for emailing support. Images would be stored in the uploads folder so location would be “wp-content/uploads” and you would need to manually move those over to the new site using ftp.

thanks for your help. i already tried manually copying the folders with uploaded files but the calendar won’t pick up the images (images stay blank until i manually update them) maybe something in the database is missing? what else should i check? or do i really need to re set them manually? thanks

forgot to say, i also run a search replace in the database to change the old url with the new one for every table

Hi there,

Hmm, not sure why they would not show up then. You may need to regenerate thumbnails. There is a plugin you can use to do this called “regenerate thumbnails”
