GuestCiao ragazzi,
sto provando la versione gratuita del vostro plugin “The events Calendar” (Potete vedere qui: http://www.cineluxlivigno.it)
Nella visualizzazione “Giorno” e “Mese” prima degli eventi viene riportato: “Eventi del 1 agosto 2017” “Eventi del agosto 2017” in italiano è sbagliato. Io suggerisco di togliere la parte “Eventi del”.Hello guys,
I’m tryng the free version of yours plugin “The events Calendar” (As you can see here: http://www.cineluxlivigno.it)
In the visualization “Day” and “Month” before the events you can read: “Eventi del 6 agosto 2017” “Eventi del agosto 2017” in italian is wrong. I suggest to delete the part: “Eventi del”.After this change I believe we can proceed to the purchase. As you can understand it is not professional to report grammar errors on the site.
Thank you in advanceAugust 6, 2017 at 5:27 am #1331369Cinelux
GuestAlso in the “List” view is written: “Eventi per 6 agosto 2017 – 10 settembre 2017”, I suggest to delete here too the part “Eventi per” and leave just “6 agosto 2017 – 10 settembre 2017”
Thank you

MemberHi there,
Thanks for reaching out–we appreciate you taking the time to report these corrections to us! Translations for our free and premium plugins are generously supplied by members of our user community, and we aren’t typically able to perform individual corrections to language files ourselves. If you’d like to submit improved translations for any language that our plugins have been translated into, we invite you to contribute using one of the following methods:
- Free plugins: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/translating-the-events-calendar/
- Premium plugins: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/adding-or-updating-a-translation/
I hope that helps! Thanks again, and let us know if you should have any other questions! 🙂

GuestThank you Caroline.
All the plugin is now translated in italian. Do you know how long I have wait before the approval? Now all translations records are in “Waiting” status when they become “Current”?Why I cannot download the files .mo and .po with my “Waiting” translation and upload them to my site directory wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/lang ?
Thank you

MemberHello Cinelux!
Thanks for following up with this! We really appreciate your collaboration to improve the Italian translations.
If you already translated the plugin yourself you can generate and use the .mo file by placing it in wp-content/languages/plugins/. This way you won’t have to wait for it to be approved. Beware that if you go to wp-admin > Dashboard > Updates and click update translations, then it will be overwritten. So make sure you have a backup of it.
To learn more about the submitted translations being approved I suggest you go here > https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/handbook/
Is there anything else I can help you with? Let me know.

GuestHi Victor,
Thanks for your guide lines but they were imperfect. Now I write the steps I did to save the time of users of this forum. When everything is translated example here https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/the-events-calendar/stable/it/default all the suggested translations are in the “waiting” state, you have to export the files .mo and .po by selecting “Only matching the filter” and pressing “Export”.
After you have to rename both of them with “the-events-calendar-it_IT” and overrite the files in /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/langIt’s not working if you put the files (renamed or not) in Victor’s suggestested path (wp-content/languages/plugins/) and go to wp-admin > Dashboard > Updates and click update translations.
Thanks for collaboration

MemberHey there!
Thanks for sharing that so others can benefit from it.
It’s not working if you put the files (renamed or not) in Victor’s suggestested path (wp-content/languages/plugins/) and go to wp-admin > Dashboard > Updates and click update translations.
If you put the files in the above directory, you don’t need to click “update translations” as they will be overwritten. The translation files you place in that directory will always override the ones inside the plugin’s directories.
As you marked this resolved I’ll go ahead and close it. Thanks for getting in touch with us! 🙂
Best,
