Trackback disable, only for calendar

Referencing:

Venue pingbacks/trackbacks

My client has been getting large amounts of spam “trackbacks” and he wants them stopped.

They do wish to have trackbacks enabled for the rest of their site, just not the calendar (events calendar PRO, with Community add-on).

Can you give me the function that would disable trackbacks for the calendar/calendar community add-on only?

I would love to help you with this topic.

I believe this is a 2 step process:

1. Use the following function to remove trackbacks from the “tribe-events” post type: https://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/remove_post_type_support
2. Use an SQL query (after a DB backup to do the same for existing posts: https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/143473/disable-comments-and-pingbacks-on-old-custom-post-types
