Total amount of tickets for an event?

We have an event running that requires two types of ticket:

One for Members (which has one price).
And another for Non-Members (which has a different price).

Is there a way to have a total stock count? For instance, the event has 40 places, it doesn’t matter if that is made up of members or non-members, it just needs to be 40 places. Therefore I couldn’t just put 20 in the stock for each ticket.

That’s definitely a popular request for our ticketing plugins (not just EDD, but Woo, WPEC etc) and we’re looking into it. Right now though, I’m afraid this is not supported.

Please do add your support to this request though by visiting our UserVoice page (or the specific idea I linked to above): this gives us a really good sense of how much demand exists for a given feature.
