To begin using Events Calendar PRO, please install… – version 2.0.11

Hi guys,
I tumbled into the problem of a warning message telling me that “To begin using Events Calendar PRO, please install the event calendar plugin”, with the latest version of your plugin 2.0.11.

At the end, I solved it and wanted to share the solution: it seems that the pro version and the free version zips files have diferent names: the free plugin file is named the-events-calendar.2.0.11.zip, and the pro file is named events-calendar-pro.2.0.11.zip.

The fix was to rename the first file to “events-calendar.2.0.11.zip”, without the “the-” part.

I’m not actually sure why that would matter – normally the core plugin directory is indeed named the-events-calendar while the Pro plugin directory is events-calendar-pro (no “the-” prefix) – however the important thing is you’ve got everything working 🙂
