To begin using Events Calendar PRO, please install the latest version…

Hello all!

I recently did the automated WP update for plugins and my Events Calendar got upgraded to 4.0.4 but I got an error message:

“To begin using Events Calendar PRO, please install the latest version of The Events Calendar.”

I went to my account to download the latest version, but the Pro version is still at 4.0.3. So now I can’t use Pro because Events Calendar is newer. Where do I find the latest 4.0.4 Pro download?

Something even stranger. So I downloaded version 4.0.3 Events Calendar from the WP repository and the message about upgrading to the latest is still there despite both the Pro and Standard version are now 4.0.3. Very odd.

Thanks for reaching out to us!

Version 4.0.4 is the latest version of the core plugin and 4.0.3 is the latest version of the PRO plugin. You shouldn’t be getting the warning with those versions of each. As a first step, with both plugins at their latest versions, can you try deactivating both and reactivating to see if the notice goes away?
