ParticipantThe Events calendar doesn’t show the title of the first (current) event on the list. Once that event expires, the subsequent event does not display the title. If you go to Previous Events and then go back to Next Events, the title will display. But bounce around to another area of the website, come back to Events and again, no title.
The problem is that the plugin is not populating a title in the code:
<div id=”post-3506″ class=”hentry vevent type-tribe_events post-3506 tribe-clearfix tribe-events-venue-2985 tribe-events-organizer-2721 tribe-events-first”>
<!– Event Title –>
I have followed the Testing for conflicts guide. Activated the Twenty Fifteen Theme. Disabled all other plug-ins with the exception of Events Calendar and EC Pro. The problem still exists.

ParticipantHowdy integrated94,
Thank you for clearly detailing everything you have tried, and the problem. I can definitely reproduce the issue on your site. And when I page back one, then forward again the issue goes away. I would love to help you with this.
Strange as it may seem I have seen similar things before. A lot of themes, and the occasional plugin, has a tendency to mutz with the first title on the page. It is quite curious that the issue did not go away though during your conflict test. When you did the conflict test, did you switch themes and deactivate plugins at the same time or separately? Did you have a caching plugin enabled before the conflict test, or other caching solution? Did you clear your browser cache? Who is your webhost?
Sorry to hammer you with questions. I am hoping one of them will shed a bit more light since the conflict test wasn’t able to. Once we find the source of the problem we are a huge step towards a solution.
Cheers!

ParticipantThank you for detailing your steps there. That is good to know.
Can you tell me what particular plugins might have prevented the event title from showing?
Typically it is a theme. I don’t have a comprehensive list of plugins and themes. 🙁 But typically they are ones that show the page title in an odd place, such as in the header.php file of the theme.
Could you try changing the Page Template in WP-Admin > Events > Settings > Display ? There is likely a number to try from. Can you try applying each one and viewing the front-end to see if that specific issue disappears? If so, what one is broken and which one works?
Also, would you mind sharing your system information and pasting it here? Make sure to use the ‘Set as private reply’ checkbox to protect your private information from the public. You can find the system info by going to WP Admin > Events > Settings, clicking on the “Help” tab, and scrolling down to the ‘System Information’ box. (Or by going to [yoursite]/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=tribe_events&page=tribe-events-calendar&tab=help) That will give me a lot of extra information to help diagnose the problem.
Cheers!

ParticipantThank you for giving that a whirl. It’s good to know none of those Pasge Templates are working.
So I have done a goodly bit of research here trying to see if anyone else has come up with a similar issue, nothing. I have been researching your hosts and some various things from your system info, but nothing is indicating what might be the problem.
Now that we have tried all of the easier debugging techniques, we are going to have to move on. Since you are with ASO, can you do a second WordPress installation in a different subdomain or directory? Add a couple of test events. Are you seeing the same issue? If not try adding your theme. Does the issue crop up now?
Cheers!
