Hi, I’m confused about how tickets for recurring events work. I have events about every two months. The ticket type doesn’t change. I have set the tickets to stop the sale just before the first event in the series. Should I just extend it for 6 months or a year ahead so the tickets don’t stop appearing for future events in the series? I don’t want to set sale dates for each event in the series as I sometimes modify the course description and want to make sure it is the same for all events when I do make changes. We also cap numbers at 10 people per event. If we just have 10 tickets for sale, does this mean it might appear future events are sold out if 10 tickets sell in the first event in the series.

    Hey Julian

Unfortunately tickets do not work for recurring events. It’s a highly requested feature, and will will keep you updated on our progress with it at https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/3685663-recurring-event-support-for-tickets. However, we have no timeframe yet for implementation. It is noted on the Event Tickets Plus site about the lack of recurring event support. So sorry we can’t yet help with that.

    Thanks
    Courtney 🙂

Hi, I went in and purchased a ticket through the link on the website for the second event in the series. It allowed me to make the purchase. It reduce the available tickets from 10 to 8 and sent as ticket for the first event in the series. Can I just tell the plugin don’t issue the ticket and we’ll do it manually via our own systems. That allows purchases for future events to be made indirectly in a work around.

    Hey Julian

We’d recommend not including the ticket in the series at all. If you don’t mind the event not appearing within the the series (See All link on single events, you can create a recurring event and then edit the single event to separate it from the series. Then place a ticket in the single event. This would expedite entering the details of the event series and support tickets, but would break the “See all” recurring link option.

    Would this work for you?

    Thanks
    Courtney 🙂

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
