ParticipantHi, a week ago I saw -by coincidence- that someones ticket wasn’t sent. I noticed that because I have an email logger which nicely displays all sent out emails. Today I saw this occurring again. What could that be? We’re using the plugin a couple of months now and never had this… nothing has changed either..

MemberGood evening John and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the tickets not being sent
I would love to help you with this topic. There could be a couple of reasons for this.
Would you mind telling me what the default order status is for purchases done through Paypal ?Can you also share a screenshot your settings under Events -> Settings -> Tickets ?
Can you run a test using Paypal as a gateway while having the Autocomplete orders plugin temporarily deactivated &
Let me know how that goes.
Best regards,

ParticipantHi Geoff,
Default order status Paypal: 0 tickets – cart empty (if that’s what you mean).
Event settings: screenshot attached.
PayPal gateway/autocomplete deactivated: still have to do that.regards,

MemberGood evening John,
Thank you for writing back.
Default order status Paypal: 0 tickets – cart empty (if that’s what you mean).
Actually I meant what is the order status under WooCommerce > Orders once a transaction goes through Paypal. Typically, that is “Processing”.
The reason I am asking is because if somehow, the order status is not set to “Complete”, the tickets will not be sent (based on your settings at the bottom of Events -> Settings -> Tickets).
Keep me posted on the last point.
2 other things worth checking out:
- Has the payment processed at the Paypal level (can you see it when logging to Paypal) for that transaction ?
- Can you see if the return URL is properly defined in the Paypal settings ?
Let me know how that goes.
Best regards,

ParticipantHi Geoff,
Sorry for the delay. The payment got processes through PayPal.
Woocommerce says it is completed yet it isn’t.In meantime I changed some PayPal settings, I am monitoring it now to see if it occurs again.

MemberGood evening John,
Thank you for continuing the investigation with me.
I am mostly glad the payments got to Paypal.
We can now focus on the WooCommerce status.Keep me posted on your findings. In the meantime, if you have not already, please read the following carefully: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/paypal-standard/
Especially the part about the return URL (Paypal IPN) or Auto-return.
Have a good weekend,
Geoff B.

ParticipantHi Geoff,
There was no change..
We are not using a business account. We can’t use that since we’re a non-profit organisation. Well even not that, but a de factor partnership between some friends. So we cannot use IPN since this requires a business account…Any suggestions ?
