Tickets and Events: Integration with Easy Digital Downloads?

Hello there:

I want to create a website where users can do the following all on the front end:
1) submit downloads to either sell or give away
2) submit events to either sell tickets to or allow free attendance.
3) submit posts (I will figure this functionality out later but I tell you this now in case it has any bearings on my other 2 goals)

I have bought the Marketify theme by Astoundify, and I have the Easy Digital Downloads – Front End Submissions (EDD – FES) extension for handling goal #1 above.

My question is this: If I installed Event Tickets, Event Tickets Plus, Community Events and Community Tickets on the same site that I have EDD – FES installed on, would I be able to accomplish goal #2 above?

If so, would my vendors have to go through two different workflows to submit content to the site? i.e. one work flow for the downloads they want to submit, and a different workflow for the events they want to submit? Would my vendors need two different vendor accounts? One account for the download side of the house and one account for the event side of the house? OR would my vendors be able to use one account to upload all of their events and downloads and one dashboard to monitor them from? I am also curious about how the integration (or non-integration) of the downloads side of things with the events side of things would impact a search function on the site or impact any other functionality or usability I have not thought of.

If none of the above seems workable is there some way I could purchase the Easy Digital Downloads – Event Tickets add on to achieve my goals? (Link here: https://easydigitaldownloads.com/downloads/edd-event-tickets/) It seems as if that is not for sale any more, but would it make any sense for me to ask them for it and I purchase it knowing it is no longer supported?

Hi there:
Since I posted this I did more work on my site and realized that EDD FES was not for me and asked for a refund, which they gave me. Since I won’t be using EDD FES any more I don’t need to you answer the question about their level of integration.

Thanks for the heads up, Alison! Sorry to hear EDD isn’t the right solution for you. Do note that our Event Tickets Plus add-on does support EDD as well as other ecommerce platforms for WordPress including:

• WooCommerce
• WP-eCommerce
• Shopp
