When creating an event and saving an image to Ticket and/or Main Image, no image is showing in cart.
How comes?
I assume I do NOT have to create a product in WooCommerce and reference a product image, as everything works fine elsewhere.
Creating/linking a WooCommerce product would mean double work!
I am afraid that is correct: in order to attach an image to a ticket, you will need to edit the ticket on the Product level in WooCommerce.
I do see an open request in our feature request for this very thing. Would you be willing to add your vote to it? It could definitely use more votes and I could see how that would be a very handy feature.
