Ticket sent to unknown email address

    One of our tickets issued has been sent to an email address that appears completely random and unconnected to the purchasers email. LUCKILY…the random email address recipient has let us know they have received the tickets.

    This is extremely worrying can you please advise me.
    is this something you have come across before?

    we have since run another ticket which went out fine to the correct address.

    Hi,

    Sorry for the issues you are having. I can help troubleshoot this with you.

    We do not modify the checkout process that is handled all by WooCommerce and this issue has not ever come up before from what I could find.

    What is the email address in the order for the tickets that was wrong? Was that correct there?

    That is the email we use to send tickets to and WooCommerce collects it.

    Let me know and we can go from there.

    If that is the email entered into the order that is why it was sent there.

    Again we just follow what that order email is.

    So it does look like the wrong email was entered by the user.

    Do you have Accounts? Is the Account email different?

    I haven’t started accounts yet just guest check in.
    I think this is a customer error as you said its on the original order. I will monitor it if it happens again I will investigate further thanks for your help
