ticket sales for annual event – choice of plug ins

Hi,

We currently are considering adding Calendar PRO to increase the functionality of our calendar. Also, we are about to have our 20th Anniversary, where we will have four events, one of which will have individual and table sales offerings.

It appears that on this site there are two plug in products that address this – Eventbrite Tickets, and Ticket PRO. We will be using PayPal as the payment processor. Like others I am interested in having a plug in that avoids another module purchase. The idea is to have people enter all their info once, then click purchase ticket. Its unclear to me if I purchase the Eventbrite module if they would then be asked to enter all there info again into Eventbrite.

Can you advice the fastest path for users that takes them from an event page, to purchase tickets on paypal?

As Eventbrite Tickets is intended to operate as a bridge between our products and the Eventbrite ticketing platform, you’re correct in that ticket purchases are routed through Eventbrite’s own site for payment processing. You can see an example of this flow in action on the Eventbrite Tickets demo on our WP Shindig demo site. If you’re looking for the most direct process using PayPal as a payment method, I’d suggest pairing Event Tickets Plus with WooCommerce for payment processing and using PayPal as your preferred payment method.
