I have a case where a customer purchased 2 tickets (WooCommerce) and received the tickets via email. However, when I go to look at the attendees for the event, he isn’t listed. Neither is his order listed in the WooCommerce order listing.

Since I have the ticket email, I attempted to manually bring up the tickets/order in my browser. His tickets were #2036 and #2037 so I used a URL like: …/wp-admin/post.php?post=2037&action=edit. When I did this, ticket #2036 produced an error message that the record did not exist while #2037 brought up a WooCommerce Memberships record (!).

Another event that was configured to use the RSVP feature has apparently had issues as customers are reporting that they RSVP’d for an event but they do not show on the attendee list. I don’t have detailed info to troubleshoot this issue at the moment.

A possible symptom of this is that when I go to the attendee list for the RSVP event and click on an order number, nothing happens. When I first noticed this I didn’t think too much of it, but now I’m thinking this may be symptomatic of whatever is causing my other issues.

    Any advice appreciated…

Hi Bruce, welcome back to the forums!

Whoa, sorry for this issue. I can honestly say this is the first time I’ve a report of this, but I’m super curious to see what’s happening so let’s dig in and troubleshoot together.

First off, I really think we need to try testing for conflicts. There are a few additional plugins I see in your system settings that directly interact with Event Tickets Plus, so I want to make sure those interactions are not the source of this before we dig too much deeper.

    Will you please:

    • Switch to a default WordPress theme
    • Deactivate all plugins, except for:
      • The Events Calendar
      • Events Calendar PRO
      • Event Tickets
      • Event Tickets Plus
      • WooCommerce
    • Try selling a ticket in this default condition

I know that reverting to default conditions is not always an ideal or even a realistic thing for some sites, especially ones that sell products, so please feel free to set up a test site in your hosting’s cPanel if that would be more convenient so we can continue testing. What you’ll be setting up is essentially the same test site that I have where I have been unable to replicate the issue myself. If you are also unable to replicate the issue, then we can start reactivating components of your site one-by-one to see what the source of the issue is.

Thanks so much for your help with this — I’m really interested in figuring this out with you!

Not sure that troubleshooting by disabling plugins is going to be successful as this seems to be an intermittent issue (only 1 out dozens of tickets sold on our site has exhibited this to my knowledge).

I’m more curious if you could answer whether the following is “normal” behavior or whether it might be symptomatic of the ticket issue:

    • there is a “View Your RSVPs” link on the event page after a customer submits an RSVP. However, for our development site (running the same software stack on the same server) this link is broken (merely links back to the event page, which is kinda useless).
    • in the dashboard, if you look at the attendee list for an event configured for RSVPs and click on the “Order #” for a RSVP you again get linked right back to the attendee list.
    • when editing the event itself, attempting to modify the RSVP properties fails (absolutely nothing happens).

    Is the above normal behavior?

    Hi Bruce,

None of that is normal behavior and I am unable to reproduce them on a test site running the default Twenty Sixteen theme and only the following plugins activated:

    • The Events Calendar 4.2.3
    • Events Calendar PRO 4.2.3
    • Event Tickets 4.2.3
    • Event Tickets Plus 4.2.3
    • WooCommerce 2.6.4

    I’ve found the following:

    • “View Your RSVPs” — this appears to be an issue with our custom child theme of Kallyas
    • clicking on the order # for an RSVP in the dashboard “Attendees List” for an RSVP does not function even with the Twenty Sixteen theme and only the plugins you specified activated
    • editing the RSVP for an event still does not function even with the Twenty Sixteen theme and only the plugins you specified activated

I will create a new clean install and re-test to determine if the issue is with our particular installation.

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
