Ticket plus with WPML

Hey there,

Juste got the news that the calendar is finally compatible with wpml 🙂 That’s awesome.

However, the fact that the ticket extension isn’t compatible yet makes me wonder : would it not work at all or would I need to create one ticket per language or will it show the same ticket in the original language for all translation ?

Thanks for reaching out.

It is indeed a bit of a bummer that our ticketing plugins do not support WPML yet at this time.

We are working on that support. But for now, as for your question, it essentially does not work at all. You may not have many problems if you don’t try to display the tickets in multiple languages. In other words, you ask: “will it show the same ticket in the original language for all translation”? Possibly, yes—this is the best case scenario.

But since we do not officially support WPML for Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus, we wouldn’t be able to help troubleshoot issues if you tried to have the tickets work with WPML but then it failed. 🙁

So you may have some success, but that could change over time as we update our plugins and it isn’t something we could assist with until we come out with full WPML support.

Hey Goerge,

So… I found a temporary fix : instead of using tickets, I’ll directly use WooCommerce products on the events. I really can’t wait for ticket pkus to be compatible! Any idea or range of when it will be available?

Sounds like a good plan for now, Laurent!

As for a specific date upon which full WPML support will arrive…we unfortunately do not have a a specific date yet. 🙁

It is not something that will arrive for at least a few more months, most likely.
