ParticipantI need the ticket to be purchased and have a few options to pick from.
for example:
user can purchase a bus ticket but I need them to select where they want to be picked up? how can I do this?November 4, 2016 at 8:18 am #1187702Geoff
MemberHi @digitaliway and happy Friday. 🙂
You can create a dropdown field asking customers where they would like to be picked up by using a custom ticket field in the ticket settings for the event.
Here is a detailed guide that provides step-by-step instructions for creating custom ticket fields:

Will this help you get started? Please let me know.
Cheers!

ParticipantI was able to get that working with ticket field sets. I still have some issues that need addressed. There will be multiple tickets for this event and I need to order the tickets appropriately. Please see my attached file, how can I order them?

MemberHi @digitaliway and I hope you had a great weekend!
So glad to hear the ticket fieldset options did the trick — thanks for confirming. 🙂
I’m afraid that Event Tickets Plus does not currently support creating a custom order for how tickets are displayed.
That said, it is possible to change the order, but it does take some custom development to make it happen. Here is a guide that provides some tips for how to do that with specific code examples to help you get started:
Did you have any other questions specifically about the ability to create custom options in tickets? If so, please let me know and I’d be happy to help as best I can.
Cheers!

Participantyes that worked great and I do have one question regarding ticket field sets.
I am using woo commerce to process the ticket sale. After adding the ticket with the additional options selected I end up in the woocommerce cart. in the cart there is an option to increase the quantity to purchase more tickets which is where I have the questions:
1.) changing the quantity will allow more tickets to be purchased, but there is no option to change the options for each ticket so I am concerned how it will save the ticket purchase after using this method to buy more. each increate in quantity shows attendee 1, 2 3 and so on with a selection from field set but not in the cart.
2.) in the cart the ticket name is not clickable to go back to the page and see what you purchased to make changes. is there a way to go back and edit the tickets trying to purchase so it maintains all selections made in fieldsets?

MemberGreat follow-up questions!
1.) changing the quantity will allow more tickets to be purchased, but there is no option to change the options for each ticket so I am concerned how it will save the ticket purchase after using this method to buy more. each increate in quantity shows attendee 1, 2 3 and so on with a selection from field set but not in the cart.
There is actually no way for the customer to add the custom ticket information directly from the cart. They can, however, edit their information after the purchase, though I know that is not as convenient as being able to do it straight from the cart.
2.) in the cart the ticket name is not clickable to go back to the page and see what you purchased to make changes. is there a way to go back and edit the tickets trying to purchase so it maintains all selections made in fieldsets?
This would be more something that is handled by WooCommerce since Event Tickets Plus actually does not make any customizations to the cart functionality. Instead, it uses the default functionality provided by WooCommerce.
That said, I know that WooCommerce templates can be customized and I am confident it would be possible to make this happen with some custom development on the WooCommerce cart template.

Participantthan you for the info I will adjust.
one last question as I just ran into this one. I need to do a custom order of the tickets not by price or name as you provided but by a specific order and do you have any examples of this?
November 9, 2016 at 7:51 am #1189613Geoff
MemberShoot, I’m afraid I do not have any other examples than the ones in that tutorial. The tutorial’s examples are a nice blueprint for how to change the order based on specific things (name and price) but doing a custom order is something that would take a more custom development.
Sorry for the bad news, but did you have any other questions about ticket options?
Thanks,

MemberRight on, thanks for confirming!
Sorry again that I didn’t have a concrete workaround for you here, but definitely let us know if any other questions come up and we’d be happy to help as best we can.
