    Hello, this is very URGENT!

The plugin sends the ticket without any problem in the default language after a finished order. However, it does not happen when I try to order the ticket from another language. I also tried to resend it manually. A blank e-mail had been sent out.
+ I can’t find the ticket e-mail subject line in WPML’s String translation.

Just don’t tell me this is not a bug. We have to have it multilingual. Or at least sending the ticket in the same language despite the language used during the order. And I need that solution in 3 hours.

Good morning Tibor and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.

I am not sure if you are aware of this, but we do not offer WPML support for Event Tickets Plus yet: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/wpml-support/

This feature is scheduled to be release later this year. Initially we planned for spring, but there was  some pushback.

In the meantime, you could get it to partially work, but this is unsupported.

To achieve that, you will need:

    1. WooCommerce multilingual
    2. Some manual intervention

After creating the ticket AND saving the event, head over to WPML > Support > Troubleshooting page.

Once you are there, you should see several cleanup buttons. I would recommend:

    1. Clearing WPML cache
    2. Using the button that forces language assignment to items (which is what is creating the issue). This can also be accomplished by deactivating and reactivating WPML.

Your ticket will now magically appear.

The only downside is that the tickets you create in other languages are not really translations of the initial ticket. They are completely independent new tickets.

+ I can’t find the ticket e-mail subject line in WPML’s String translation.

This is “normal” at this point. Your best shot would be to hardcode the subject line based on the language using a template override.

You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.

And I need that solution in 3 hours.

I do understand how stressful it can be to be on a tight deadline.

Alas, we were not able to do this for a couple of reasons:

    1. We only provide support on weekdays at the time of writing
    2. Even though we try to provide the fastest support possible to our customers, the official turnaround time is usually closer to 24 hours. In fact, you can read about it here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/what-support-is-provided-for-license-holders/

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

Well, that’s absolutely not a good news. We have tickets that are limited in numbers and I need a multilingual solution as we organize an international event. I would like to request a refund. When I was buying the plugin, I was pretty sure about its multilingual use (see the screenshot of the product description I just made). I need a replacement for your plugin. Could you suggest any, please?

    Good evening Tibor,

    Thank you for writing back.
I totally understand your disappointment and I truly wish that we had an alternative to offer.

The only thing that I can think of, off the top of my head would be to try to use Polylang instead of WPML with our plugins.

Although this is officially not supported (at least yet), I know for a fact many of our customers have successfully been able to have Event Tickets Plus working for them.

Perhaps, you would want to give this a test run before I process your refund ?

As to the excerpt from the screenshot, these 2 statements are actually true.
Our plugins are internationalized and ready for translation.

However, compatibility with a third-party such as WPML requires more than these 2 things to work unfortunately. As you can imagine, we would also love to achieve such compatibility as soon as possible.

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Hi Geoff,

it’s too late to start all over again with polylang. There’s a lot of content to be translated again and I don’t have a mood for automizing the process of migration from WPML to Polylang, either. I have spent some extra time to research the possibilities with other plugins and I have found one that meets our requirements. It is a bit more expensive but it also makes the development more convenient. I would like to ask you to process the refund.

Thank you very much for your assistance, Geoff.

    Best regards,
    Tibor L.
