    Hello,

I have recently noticed that the ticket form is not displaying on sold out events, nor is there a message that the tickets have sold out. In the past, the ticket form remained visible on sold out events, and an “Out of Stock” notice would display on the form.

Do you know how to show the out of stock message on sold out events? Having the form completely hidden is confusing to customers, who contact us and ask when the tickets will go on sale.

I have attached a couple of screenshots of two similar events on our calendar… one with available tickets, and one that has sold out. Notice right above it we have some information about reserved seating. We need to show the ticket form below this text, even if the seats are sold out.

    Thanks for help!

    Hello,

I’m sorry that you’re running into this issue, but I’ll be happy to help you get it figured out.

I tested this out on my end, but I was not able to recreate it locally – a “Tickets are no longer available” message is displaying for me when tickets are sold out. Can you please send me a link directly to an event where this is happening and also share your full system info with me?

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Jennifer,

Here is a sold out event with the ticket form not displaying. https://www.floydcountrystore.com/event/friday-night-jamboree-2018-08-03

I’ve attached a screenshot of the backend ticket info.

I also tested this issue on my staging site. I switched to the twentyseventeen theme and deactivated all plugins except TEC, Event Tickets, Event Tickets Plus, and WooCommerce. The same thing happens there. I can upload screenshots from that test if you need them.

I’ve checked the box to automatically share my system info with you. Please let me know if I should also copy it here.

    Thanks.

    Hi Heather,

Thanks for sending that link. It sounds like you’re using WooCommerce as the ecommerce platform for these tickets? Are these tickets using global stock or independent stock? Are you setting start and end sale times for these tickets?

    Hi Jennifer,

I have set stock for this tickets only (40 tickets, all sold). The begin and end sales times are July 1, 2018 to August 3, 2018.

I have attached a screenshot for you to see my settings.

    Hi Heather,

Thanks for sending that screenshot. I created a test event on my local site with the same settings that you are using here, and this time I was not seeing the sold out message or the ticket form. I am logging this for our developers to take a look at, and as soon as we have an update, we’ll let you know here.

I apologize for the inconvenience that this is causing, and thank you for your patience as we work on getting this resolved! Please let me know if you have any questions in the meantime.

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi There!

Just wanted to share with you that a new release of our plugins is out, including a fix for this issue 🙂

Find out more about this release → https://theeventscalendar.com/maintenance-release-for-the-week-of-9-september-2018/

We apologize for the delay and appreciate your patience while we worked on this.

As always, we suggest to setup a dev/staging site so you can make all plugin updates without disrupting the live site.

Please update the plugins and let us know if the fix works for your site.

    Regards,
    Sky
