Ticket Check in not working

    Hi,

    I’ve followed the guide (https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/using-qr-codes-event-tickets-plus/#summing_up) to the letter. Using the recommended QR app.

    All looks good until the very last step. After scanning, there are two buttons on the screen: Open URL and Advanced. When I click Open URL it loads the event page in Safari, and nothing else. No indicator that the person is checked in. And when I switch to the WP back end, which I’m logged into as the admin in Safari, nothing changed. The ticket is not checked in.

    Am I missing some configuration in the QR app?

    Note the URL that the barcode generates looks good:

    but after the page loads when I check the url it the plain event url:

    All of this was using my iPhone X

    So I tried pasting that into my desktop browser. When I do that it loads the event attendees page:
    https://pleasantharbor.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=tribe_events&page=tickets-attendees&event_id=5176&qr_checked_in=5408

    and gives me an alert:
    The ticket with ID CA-10-SB1GXZ has already been checked in.

    However, when reloading that page it clearly states “Checked in: 0” and the button that allows you to manually check a ticket in is still lit up blue and stating “Check In”.

    Hello,

    So I got this working by switching to a different app. The one you recommend, Quickmark, did not work for me.

    I used “QR reader for iPhone” and it works as expected.

    You might want to double check my findings and update your docs.

    We are sorry to hear about Quickmark not working for you.
    Major kudos for finding a workaround!

    You did not hear this from me, but we are actually working on an app to make Event check-in a sinch. This should put an end to all incompatibilities.
