ParticipantHey,
I have an installation of The Events Calendar with the add on Eventbrite Tickets. I’ve recently updated the plugins to the latest versions (The Events Calendar: Version 4.5.10.1 / Eventbrite Tickets: Version 4.4) and now am receiving an error when when posting an event.
Error message states:
We were unable to sync your event to Eventbrite. Here’s what happened: This paid event has no payment type. There doesn’t seem to be any options to set a payment type from within WordPress.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Kieran

KeymasterHello Kieran,
Thanks for using our plugins and welcome to the forums!
Sorry about this issue with Eventbrite.
In case you didn’t do so yet, please go through our Eventbrite New User Primer and this article explaining how to create tickets. This is just to make sure we are starting from the same page. 🙂
Can you share with me the details of the event you are trying to create? Maybe a screenshot of the event details? Then I can try to check if I bump into any issue on my test site.
Thanks and cheers,

ParticipantThanks for your reply,
I’ve checked out the Eventbrite New User Primer and believe I’m doing everything correctly.
I’ve attached two images, one showing my test event settings and the other showing the error message received after publishing.
In Eventbrite the test event gets saved in Drafts, I’ve attached an image of this as well…
My assumption is that there is something that needs to be setup in Eventbrite to determine the primary payment for these events. When I go into the payment options for the test event it tells me I need to select a payment method to collect ticket sales. However I have already setup payment methods? for some reason it doesn’t seem to be picking this up or giving me the option to select the payment method before publishing (screenshots of this also attached).

ParticipantAlso.. proof of payment options being setup correctly.

KeymasterHi Kieran,
Thanks for getting back to me with all the details and screenshots.
I tried creating a test eventbrite event based on the details you sent me. The only difference was that I set it to be draft instead of live. The event got created without issue. So as a first step you could check if a draft status will work or if it still gives you an error.
Looking at the screenshots I believe what you are missing is the email address of your PayPal account, otherwise the system doesn’t know where the money should be sent.
Check and let me know if that solves it. If that doesn’t, then we can dig further.
Cheers,
