    Hi,

I have followed the structure on the Themer’s Guide but I’m not seeing the results. As a test I have tried editing /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/views/default-template.php from the plugin directory and the changes take place perfectly.

However, when I try from my own override structure: /wp-content/themes/uTicket/tribe-events/views/default-template.php the changes to not over ride the existing plugin templates files.

    Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Hi there, Gareth! Thanks for getting in touch and welcome to the forums. 🙂

Yes, this is a confusing one. You’re right that most templates overrides go into a /views subdirectory, but page-default.php is an exception. You will actually place this file directly in the /tribe-events directory you created so it is at the top level, like this:

    /[your-theme]/tribe-events/page-default.php

Sorry for any confusion there, but does this help? Please let me know. 🙂

    Cheers!

    Perfect.

That fixed the issue for me. Thank you for your quick response. And thanks for the plugin, just purchased wooTickets and The Events Calendar Pro. Top stuff.

    I’m glad that helped out!

Thanks for picking up the plugins and we’re stoked you’re loving them so far. If you have a quick moment, we’d love to have you share your thoughts on our review page. 🙂

I’m going to go ahead and close this thread, but please feel free to hit us up with a new one if any other questions pop up. We’d be happy to help.

    Cheers!
    Geoff
