Theme folder not being loaded although instructions followed for placement.

Our website is using The Events Calendar Pro and up until a few releases ago we were able to modify our List Module (/events-calendar-pro/src/views/pro/widgets/modules/single-event.php) by putting it in a folder named tribe-events (wp-content/mytheme/tribe-events/pro/widgets/modules/) but it is not loading. Any pointers? We need to add a link to the list view for featured events so that the event image links to the post. Can you provide some insight on what we are doing incorrectly?

The list widget is being used on our front page underneath Retreats and Teacher Training.

Normally, you should still be able to do that.

Could you please send me a copy of the latest version of your WordPress theme / child theme via a link to a .zip file link (stored Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ? I recommend a private reply for that purpose.

Please ensure you are using the latest files as found on your actual website.
This way I will get access to any updates or customizations you might have made.
